Project Overview
Sitelink is a groundbreaking mobile BIM viewer toolkit that integrates precise indoor positioning, reality capture, issue tracking and large-scale BIM data to transform construction workflows. As the principal product designer, I drove the end-to-end design process—from brainstorming to high-fidelity design. The mission: bridge the gap between digital BIM models and onsite reality, reducing delays and improving collaboration on complex projects.
Starting in January 2023 at Imajion (Sitelink’s former name), I spent two and a half years shaping the product alongside talented engineers, passionate growth teams, and enthusiastic construction users. My role spanned the full spectrum: brainstorming innovative features, conducting user interviews, defining personas, mapping user flows, wireframing, prototyping, researching tech integrations, QA testing, visiting job sites, planning roadmaps, designing high-fidelity interfaces, creating a cohesive design system with custom iconography, and streamlining customer onboarding.
A highlight was the direct collaboration with industry-leading users—innovation managers, foremen, journeymen, project engineers, superintendents and more. These were construction professionals eager to bring cutting-edge tech to their field. Regular feedback sessions, ideation workshops, and on-site testing fueled our design and engineering efforts. The goal was to make Sitelink not only intuitive but also clearly tailored to real-world needs.
